The Reason of NOKIA MOBILE Downturn

Nokia's long been known as the king of mobile world, the recently ousted by Samsung. Nokia' Former boss fell that Nokia' downturn because it is less serious in developing software. Though in the longtime they already know Nokia has a weakness in this area.

"It all started with the weakness of our software platform capabilities. We identified ten years ago, in early 2000, that this should be a power of Nokia, but we were not able to build it," said Jorma Ollila, former CEO of Nokia 1992 and 2006.

Ollila is presumably referring to Symbian platform. Nokia has only recently realized Symbian less able to compete so that they switch to the phone OS Windows to compete their riva, the iPhone and Android.

According to Ollila, Nokia phones also rely too much on the feature phone segment, not a smartphone. Indeed, many sales of Nokia mobile phones are donated by the class of low end.

"They're in the feature phone division is responsible for making this life. Everyone in this division that deviates from the idea that we should worship them will be ignored," he added, quoted from IntoMobile, Tuesday (05/08/2012).

Nokia is currently struggling to regain its glory with Windows Phone. They have issued a series of Windows Phone as Lumia 900, 800 Lumia, Lumia Luma 710 and the cheapest 610.
